La región de Los Lagos, ubicada al sur de Chile, posee paisajes exuberantes, de una belleza mórbida, inquietante y perturbadora. El clima húmedo y las bajas temperaturas que se suman, condicionan el estado de ánimo de sus habitantes, sobre todo en los meses más fríos del año.

The Lake Region, located in southern Chile, has amazing landscapes with a dark, disturbing and mysterious beauty. The cold, humid climate affect residents’ moods, especially during the coldest months of the year.

Periodista y fotógrafo independiente. Actualmente reside en Llanquihue, al sur de Chile, desde donde realiza proyectos de fotografía autoral relacionados con la ruralidad, el territorio y el paisaje. El 2019 obtuvo el premio ENFOTO, organizado por la Corporación Cultural de Puerto Montt. El 2016 fue doblemente premiado en el Salón Nacional de Fotoperiodismo, en las categorías “Vida Diaria – Individual” y “Retratos – Reportaje”. El 2015, una de sus fotografías fue reconocida dentro de las mejores imágenes del año por los medios The Guardian y Time, respectivamente.

Independent journalist and photographer. He currently lives in Llanquihue, in southern Chile, where he works on signature photography projects related to rural life, geography and landscapes. In 2019, he won the ENFOTO Award, organized by the Corporación Cultural of Puerto Montt. In 2016, he won two prizes at the National Photojournalism Exhibition, in the categories “Daily Life – Individual” and “Portraits – Story”. In 2015, one of his photographs was selected as one of the best photographs of the year by The Guardian and Time, respectively.
