14 de junio 2022 | Vista de un campo deportivo destruido por un misil de los ataques rusos en el barrio Saltivka, en las afueras de Járkov (Ucrania). Las fuerzas rusas han intensificado los ataques en los últimos días contra Járkov, la segunda ciudad más importante de Ucrania, mientras que el presidente, Volodímir Zelenski, ha alertado de una mayor actividad hostil de Rusia esta semana.

ORLANDO BARRÍA

Orlando Barría es un fotógrafo nacido en 1968. Trabaja desde el 2003 para la Agencia Española de Noticias (EFE), con base en República Dominicana, desde donde cubre lo que acontece en Haití y el resto de El Caribe, ingresando en la profundidad de esos barrios donde generalmente no accede el resto.

Estudió Fotografía Periodística en el Instituto Alpes y trabajó para los diarios La época, El Metropolitano y El Mercurio en Santiago, Chile.

Ha participado en diversas exposiciones internacionales y ha ganado varios concursos como el Prix de la Photographie Paris 2012 (Medalla de oro), XXVI Bienal de Artes Visuales de Santo Domingo 2011 (Primer lugar), XII Premio de Fotografía Humanitaria Luis Valtueña, España 2008 (Premio especial), Salón Nacional de Fotoperiodismo–Chile 2003 (Fotografía del año). 

Orlando Barría is a photographer born in 1968. Since 2003, he has worked for the Spanish News Agency (EFE), based in Dominican Republic, from where he covers what happens in Haiti and the rest of the Caribbean, entering the depths of those neighborhoods where usually nobody else has access.

He studied Photojournalism in Instituto Alpes and worked for the newspapers La Época, El Metropolitano and El Mercurio in Santiago, Chile.

He has participated in different international exhibitions and has won several contests such as the Prix of the Photographie Paris 2012 (Golden Medal), XXVI Biennial of Visual Arts of Santo Domingo 2011 (First Place), XII Award of Humanitarian Photography Luis Valtueña, Spain 2008 (Special Award), National Photojournalism Exhibition–Chile 2003 (Photo of the Year).
