En un día de duelo y conmemoración, decenas de miles de aficionados despidieron a quien muchos consideran el futbolista más grande de la historia, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, el rey Pelé, quien murió 29 de diciembre a los 82 años de edad.

On a day of mourning and commemoration, tens of thousands of fans paid their respects to whom many consider to be the greatest soccer player in history, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, the king Pelé, who died December 29 at the age of 82.
The remains of the only player who won three World Cups (1958, 1962, 1970) arrived in early hours of the morning in a caravan leaving from the Hospital Albert Einstein of Sao Paulo, where he was confined since November 29 until his death.

He focuses on issues of migration, daily life, social unrest, protests, and presidential elections in Chile and Brazil. He also covered the consequences of the Haitian President Jovenel Moise’s assassination and the earthquake in Haiti.
His work was awarded first prize of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), and Pictures of the Year (POY) recognized his 2021 portfolio with an Award of Excellence in the category of Photographer of the Year.
