Fotógrafo independiente desde 2012. Realiza estudios de fotografía en Santiago y al poco tiempo trabaja en los diarios La Nación, La Época y La Tercera hasta 1997, para posteriormente, ingresar al staff de la agencia internacional The Associated Press hasta 2012, donde realiza coberturas de algunas de las noticias más importantes de Chile y el extranjero, publicadas en medios como The New York Times, Washington Post, Time Magazine, Newsweek, Der Spiegel, Polka Magazine, El País, El Mundo, La Vanguardia, Clarín, Herald Tribune, Boston Globe, The Guardian, Aftonbladet y The Times.
