Amor a Distancia

Santiago, Chile. Inmigrantes provenientes de República Dominicana, Perú, Haití y México muestran fotografías de las parejas que dejaron en su país de origen, para venir a Chile en busca de trabajo. El ‘Smartphone’ es el puente para mantener la relación. Allí guardan las fotografías de sus seres queridos y se comunican con ellos a cualquier hora del día. 

Love at a Distance

Santiago, Chile. Immigrants from the Dominican Republic, Peru, Haiti and Mexico show photographs of their significant others left behind in their country in order to come to Chile in search of work. Smartphones are the bridge to maintaining the relationship. Here they save the photos of their loved ones and can communicate with them at any time of the day.

Durante ocho años de carrera ha trabajado para distinguidos medios nacionales e internacionales como The Clinic (Chile), Business week Mag (EE.UU.), Stern (Alemania), FT Weekend Magazine (Reino Unido), The New York Times (EE.UU.), Ojo de Pez (España), Mediapart (Francia), Revista Anfibia (Argentina) y VIA Magazine (Canada). En la actualidad trabaja como fotógrafo en VII Photo Agency. En paralelo, ha realizado diversas exposiciones, la última fue “A-MOR” en el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (MAC Santiago, Chile 2015). 

During eight years of his career, he has worked for distinguished national and international media, such as The Clinic (Chile), Business Week Magazine, (U.S.A.), Stern (Germany), FT Weekend Magazine (United Kingdom), The New York Times (U.S.A.), Ojo de Pez (Spain), Mediapart (France), Revista Anfibia (Argentina), and VIA Magazine, (Canada). At the present time, he works as a photographer for VII Photo Agency. Simultaneously, he has carried out various exhibits, the last one being “A-MOR”, at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC-Santiago, Chile 2015).
